UPDATE -
Topps man sir.  We sorry. JB explaining that he knowing this man and he not believe man doing these things. he say we not understanding right. Dinesh and i all things new being to us. we wishing many time we just being pitcher, but we also knowing all other things too needed.
This big mistake by me and dinesh. we always sending JB first so no more mistakes. We sorry if we causing any problem. We wanting everyone forget this thing please.
Sorry - Rinku
NOTE From JB - This was a silly misunderstanding.  Topps is one of the cornerstones in the stadium of baseball products fans know and love. The boys would be lucky to be part of that legacy.  I do know the rep that visited the boys and as soon as I heard who it was I knew the boys had somehow gotten it wrong. This particular rep, and Topps in general, are in my experience a first class organization. The boys feel terrible and hope that have not upset the rep who came to visit.
JB
Yesterday locker room man coming to us from company Topps. He saying we sign contract. We telling him we not reading this english. we say he have talking JB sir. He saying he talking JB sir and JB sir say OK signing.
So we signing this thing and he give me and Dinesh $5.00. Then we finding out JB sir not knowing this. Man from company lying to us.
We never making same mistake like this again.
We giving JB sir the heart pains and we very sorry. We not signing nothing unless JB sir or Pirates asking us.
This one bad thing, but all other things good here Pirate City.  We meeting many players, and many taking meal with us. We sitting with team and watching Dinesh and me story on ESPN. many player very happy for us. They all very good man.
Our pitching getting very good. We working hard and coach Bonilla teaching us new every day.

After reading your post I am angry with Topps for taking advantage of you in this way. It is a shame that people in America act in such a way, but it is a reality. Whatever happens, don’t forget that the majority of Americans are kind and considerate, whereas a few bad ones ruin it for the rest of us.
I have followed along with your story and have finally decided to comment because I have enjoyed the dedication that the both of you have displayed toward my hometown team. Don’t let the media bring you down, keep working hard, keep learning, and keep your spirits up because in baseball there are good times and there are bad times. Good players get through the bad times and learn from them. Keep up the good work and I’ll meet you in Pittsburgh sometime in the future.

$5 is the standard fee for signing a contract for Topps. If they were to appear on cards they would be paid more money.

Dinesh - Do the needful, and all will be well.

Rinku and Dinesh apologize for the mix up - Topps did nothing wrong. They are a great company and this is all a silly miscommunication. Aplogies to all those involved.

Gentlemen,
I’m sorry to hear about your mix up; however, I agree that you should not sign anything until your agent has had an opportunity to review. It is his job to make sure you are receiving fair compensation.
I’m a Pirate fan and hoping the best for you both. However, I would recommend your agent be involved in all contract matters before you sign anything further with the Pirates as well (the Pirates would probably agree - they will want you to be assured of good intentions).
Good Luck!

RInku and Dinesh,
My name is Naweed Sikora. I am an Indian born and raised in Los Angeles. I have been following your progress for some time and I am a very big fan of your pitching. Congratulations on all your success. Growing up here, I played baseball for 12 years and I know this game very well. I have spent time reading your blog and I think you both can be very successful.
I would like to offer you my help with improving your English writing and speaking. I know everything about professional baseball, the other teams, players and all the positions and rules. Maybe we can talk on the phone to help you learn, and I can help you write your blog so you can learn how to write better. This is all for free - I am just looking to help.
Congratulations on your success so far. Write back and tell me how i can help.

$5? That’s not much. I enjoyed reading your article. It’s odd the places a google search can lead.
